Indoors

St Mabyn Pre-School meets in the Village Hall, next door to the school and near the post office and shop. We vary the layout regularly to build imaginative play and role play structures (hospital, pet shop, jungle, greengrocers), and also designate areas for quiet play and reading. We are fortunate to have a large indoor space and often use it to exercise our collection of bikes, trikes and cars!

Outdoors

We use our safe walking rope to go to our village park regularly, which has a timber frame two storey Wendy house, an adventure play structure, tyre swing, swings, fields, and see-saws. The village hall land also abuts a public footpath across the countryside where the children go on nature walks, pick blackberries, and explore. St Mabyn School invites the pre-school children to visit their sensory garden and outdoor learning gazebo that was co-designed by professionals at the Eden Project, after a St Mabyn student won an all-Cornwall garden design competition. Occasionally, the children are invited to visit St Mabyn's medieval church.

Fun!
